Once again in 2019, Gatherer teamed up with Melbourne Museum’s Digital Life team to produce a 10-minute video projection to celebrate the lunar new year and Chinese year of the pig.

Drawing inspiration from Melbourne Museum’s extensive collection of objects; including hand-painted glass magic lantern slides and archival photographs; and incorporating live-action footage of Hamilton the pig, Gatherer produced a video projection for the UNESCO World Heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building celebrating Melbourne’s vibrant Chinese community and a prosperous lunar new year of the pig.
